The short version

  • CarExpert NZ reported on 5 November 2026 that the first updated Audi Q4 e-tron models have arrived in New Zealand, and that Audi New Zealand has detailed local pricing.
  • Audi New Zealand's current pages list the Q4 SUV e-tron quattro from a maximum retail price of $119,990 and the Q4 Sportback e-tron from $123,990. Both prices exclude on-road costs.
  • Both versions use two motors, quattro all-wheel drive and 250 kW. The official model-year 2027 specification sheets list an 82 kWh battery (77 kWh net), 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds with launch control, 11 kW AC charging and up to 185 kW DC charging.
  • Audi New Zealand's pages give a provisional WLTP range of up to 578 km for the SUV and up to 530 km for the Sportback. The July 2026 specification sheets still listed WLTP range as TBC.
  • CarExpert NZ says the range has been simplified from four grades at the original 2023 launch to these two 250 kW versions, and that $119,990 is a reduction from the previous equivalent Q4 50 SUV at $126,990.

What was reported

On 5 November, CarExpert NZ reported that the first examples of Audi's updated Q4 e-tron had arrived in New Zealand. The story said Audi's local arm had also set out pricing for a simplified line-up: one 250 kW specification in SUV or Sportback form, instead of the four grades offered when the Q4 e-tron was launched here in 2023.

That pricing matches Audi New Zealand's current Q4 pages, checked on 9 November 2026, and the model-year 2027 specification sheets linked from those pages. The sheets are dated 9 July 2026 and list the same maximum retail prices.

Prices and specifications

Both New Zealand versions are all-wheel-drive quattro models with one electric motor on each axle. Combined power is 250 kW using launch control. Audi quotes torque of 134 Nm from the front motor and 545 Nm from the rear, and does not publish a combined torque figure. Top speed is 180 km/h.

Prices are maximum retail including GST and exclude on-road costs, from Audi New Zealand's pages on 9 November 2026 and the model-year 2027 specification sheets dated 9 July 2026. Range figures are from the current Audi New Zealand pages, where they are marked provisional; the July specification sheets listed WLTP range as TBC. Acceleration is the launch-control figure from the specification sheets.

CarExpert NZ says the new SUV price is a reduction from the previous equivalent Q4 50 SUV, which was priced from $126,990, and that 5.4 seconds to 100 km/h is almost a second quicker than the previous 220 kW flagship.

Charging and equipment

Peak DC charging is up to 185 kW through a Type 2 CCS inlet. Audi New Zealand says that at a high-power charger the SUV can add up to 180 km of WLTP range in 10 minutes, and the Sportback up to 185 km. CarExpert NZ reports a claimed 10 to 80 per cent charge in as little as 27 minutes. The specification sheets list an 11 kW onboard AC charger, and standard charging equipment that includes Audi's compact e-tron charging system, a Type I domestic connector, a wall mount, an industrial CEE 32 A 230 V connector and a Mode 3 public AC cable.

Audi New Zealand's pages say both body styles now have a 230-volt socket in the luggage compartment for charging devices, including with the ignition switched off. CarExpert NZ notes that overseas versions of the updated Q4 e-tron are offered with vehicle-to-home capability, and that this has not been confirmed for New Zealand-market cars.

CarExpert NZ describes exterior changes including a revised grille, digital LED daytime running lights and OLED taillights. Inside, it lists a 12.8-inch touchscreen and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster as standard, with a 12.0-inch front passenger display available as a $1,500 option. The July specification sheets also list that passenger display at $1,500, along with an MMI experience pro package at $2,500 (SONOS premium sound and higher-capacity USB charging) and an exterior black pack at $2,500. Two 21-inch wheel options are listed at $3,000 and $3,500.

The specification sheets include a five-year Audi warranty, five years of roadside assistance and a three-year motoring plan, each limited to 150,000 km, whichever comes first.
