Overview

The Polestar 4 is a five-seat electric SUV coupé, sold in New Zealand through Polestar’s local importer, the Giltrap Group. Polestar NZ now calls it the Polestar 4 coupé, alongside the newer Polestar 4 SUV. It has no rear window: a rear-view HD camera feeds a digital rear-view mirror instead, and a panoramic glass roof is standard.

“Coupé aerodynamics. SUV spaciousness. Electric age innovation.”

The Long range Single motor costs from $99,900 and drives the rear wheels with 200kW and 343Nm, reaching 100km/h in 7.1 seconds, with a 620km WLTP range target. The Long range Dual motor costs from $119,900 and has 400kW and 686Nm, 0–100km/h in 3.8 seconds and a 590km target. Both use a 100kWh, 400-volt lithium-ion battery, and the configurator showed delivery from March 2027.

DC charging runs at up to 200kW, with 10–80% in about 30 minutes. AC charging is 11kW as standard (about 11 hours from 0–100%), with 22kW available as a $1,800 option. The Pilot pack is included; the Plus pack (+$10,000) adds Harman Kardon sound and Pixel LED headlights, and the Dual motor can add a $9,000 Performance pack with Brembo brakes and 22-inch wheels.

Every Polestar 4 comes with a three-year vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 160,000km battery warranty. ANCAP gave the Polestar 4 a five-star rating, tested in 2025, applying to all variants.
