About EV Cable Bags
An EV cable bag is a zip-up bag or case that holds a charging cable or a portable charger. Retailers sell them to keep the lead tidy and protected in the back of the car and to help prevent damage to the cable.
Smart EV Chargers sells a round carry bag for $14 inc GST. It is 380mm in diameter and 100mm high, has 2 handles and 2 zips, and fits all of its portable chargers and cables, including the 5m and 10m cables. EV Power lists its own carry bag for EV charging cables at $19.99 inc GST.
For larger leads, EV Power's grey cable case, also sold by OEM Audio in Christchurch, is $30 inc GST. It has a cloth exterior, a zip closure and a handle, measures about 48 x 36 x 14cm, and easily takes a three-phase 10m charging lead. EVSE NZ's Portable EV Cable Bag is $35.12, is made from 600 denier polyester, is 48cm in diameter with a clam shell zip opening, suits cables up to 7m, and can be fastened to the inside of the boot so the cables don't move around in transit.
